Twenty seven. Shinjuku Gyoen

On Saturday, one of my roommates and I had plans to go climb some mountains but for various reasons, we cancelled. Considering the rain that fell on Saturday, it was a good idea. However, we didn't want to stay home doing nothing so we decided to go eat some udon and then go to Shinjuku Gyoen. Shinjuku Gyoen is a 58 hectares park divided in a few area such as japanese traditional garden, french formal garden, english garden (actually the given name wasn't "garden", but I forgooot~), forest... The entrance fee is 200 yen. We actually wanted to see the trees leaves' autumn colors but Tokyo weather has been pretty warm until now (it recently changed, though) and a lot of trees still have their green leaves.

We walked a lot and the rain was getting heavier so we headed to Shinjuku's Lumine Est to eat some cakes. Mine is a standard apple pie but my roommate's gâteau au chocolat is actually made with tofu~. You don't feel it when you eat it though, I guess it's better that way!!
